Recap/Review: Gotham Girls "More Than One Way"

More than one way, you say? Well, Timtoady Bicarbonate, Gotham Girls. Except when you're consistently terrible.

A big hello to the programmers reading this. They are the only ones not wondering who Tim is.
This time, the game before the cartoon loads is simply a guessing game of rock paper scissors. It's pure luck. There's no skill, to predicting, no nothing. Pure dumb luck.

No one even won this time. That's the problem with 3-way Rock, Paper, Scissors.
We open on a cliche spinning paper where the headline announces some fancy waffle painting at The Gotham Museum.

I'm not even going to question it at this point.
Showing up to steal it are Poison Ivy, Catwoman, and Harley Quinn. But in a "wacky" twist, they're not working together. They're here separately for the...  um, what was it again?

Poison Ivy: "The Belgian Miniature?"

...

Okay, so I know you can't hear her actually say those words, but she pronounced "beldʒən" as   "belgiən," with a hard "guh." Once again, we see the lack of quality control on display. Youd never see sutch mistakes hear onmy bIog,,

Anyway, they decide to play Rock, Paper, Scissors to decide to see who should try to steal it. Because of course they do. Welcome to the interactive portion of this webisode.

If Catwoman wins, she breaks in and nabs the Belgian Miniature, only to get cuffed by Batgirl.

Thrilling.
If Harley Quinn wins at Rock, Paper, Scissors, she simply walks up to the outside guards and talks to them.

Harley: "Boingy boingy."

Wha...?

Guard: "What?"

Yeah, what he said.

Harley: "Boingy boingy."

Welp, I must have gone insane.

Turns out, she was referring to the sound her boxing glove guns make.

Obviously.
She nabs the goods, but gets cuffed by Batgirl. I don't know about you, but I'm seeing a pattern.

If Ivy wins, she blows some kind of green pollen (I think) into the guards' faces. They cough and sneeze uncontrollably, and she waltzes right in. I was going to end this bit with "Yadda yadda, she gets cuffed," but Ivy actually succeeds in stealing the Miniature, leading the three ladies to fight over the thing.

Yes, that is the best thing you can do with a priceless painting.
But while they fight over it, Batgirl manages to rope them all up and get their ill-gotten booty back.

Batgirl: "No matter how you do it, crime doesn't pay, girls."

Then, logically, this whole webisode was pointless.
Review
Well, at the very least, I like how the interactivity was implemented in this one. While it was kind of limited, the Choose a Path storytelling was a step up from previous attempts at interactivity, like the pointless bubble popping in the first one. And apart from the fact that they're stealing a painting of a waffle, the plot and writing were both pretty good. Of course, the animation is as terrible as ever, which is a setback.

Still, I've seen much worse from Gotham Girls. This one was actually pretty fun. Next time, a Catwoman webisode. See you then.
